George J. Pitts Jr., the son of George and Dorothy (Graneman) Pitts, was born on May 27, 1924, in Schenectady, New York. He worked for General Electric and graduated from Mont Pleasant High School.
George enlisted in the United States Army and held the rank of Corporal. On April 18, 1945, he died in a plane crash in South Carolina. George is buried in the Park View Cemetery, Schenectady, New York.
