Glenn William Pharo, the son of John and Jennie (St. Denis) Pharo, was born on February 26, 1910, in Ogdensburg County, New York. He was an employee of General Electric.

On December 17, 1942, Glenn enlisted in the United States Army and began his training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. He held the rank of Private First Class and served with the 351st Infantry Regiment, 88th Infantry Division. On March 12, 1943, he was deployed, and Italy was his first destination. On December 27, 1944, Glenn was killed by a bomb in Northern Italy. Glenn was married and had seven children. He is buried in the Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna, New York.
