Guy Chester Hyde, the son of Frederick and Lillian Hyde, was born on September 8, 1894, in Scotia, New York.
On August 31, 1917, Guy enlisted in the United States Navy. He held the rank of Fireman Third Class and was aboard the USS Von Steuben. Guy died from pneumonia in Norfolk, Virginia, on February 15, 1918. He is buried in the Maple Shade Cemetery, Scotia, New York.
