Henry Smith, the son of John and Sarah Smith, was born in June 1895, in Schenectady, New York. On March 27, 1917, he enlisted in the United States Army. Henry was a Private in the Headquarters Company of the 105th Infantry Regiment, 27th Infantry Division. Henry died of meningitis in France on December 7, 1918. He is buried in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Schenectady, New York.
