James M. DeMartino, the son of Michael and Genevieve DeMartino, was born in 1918 in Schenectady, New York. On January 9, 1940, he enlisted in the United States Army and held the rank of Private. James was stationed in Salt Lake City, Utah, when his army jeep plunged into a 12-foot pit off the state highway on April 10, 1942. James' final resting place is unknown.
