World War II (1939-1945)

Jasper Messmore lll was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on May 1, 1917. In 1935, he graduated from Westport High School in Kansas City, Missouri. It's unclear why Jasper was living in the city of Schenectady before entering the military. 

Jasper was a captain in the United States Army Air Corps. He was found deceased on August 11, 1944, after going missing from the Army Air Forces Tactical Center located in Orange County, Florida.  He is buried in the Morrill Cemetery in Morrill, Kansas.
