John Androzieviez was born in Vilnius, Lithuania, in 1894. He was living on Monroe Street in Schenectady, New York, when he entered the military.
On October 5, 1917, John enlisted in the United States Army. He was a private serving with Company C, 61st Infantry Regiment, 5th Infantry Division. On April 16, 1918, John was sent overseas aboard the US Army troopship USS Pocahontas. On August 5, 1918, John died from wounds received during battle. He is buried in the Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery and Memorial, France.
