Johnson T. Keiper, the son of Johnson and Anna Keiper, was born in 1920, in Pennsylvania. It's unclear why Johnson was in Schenectady by 1941. Johnson joined the United States Army on February 16, 1942. He was a Technician Fifth Grade with the 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. Johnson died on January 2, 1945, as a result of wounds sustained during a battle in Belgium. He is buried in the Henri Chapelle American Cemetery and Memorial, Belgium.
