Joseph Louis Majewski, the son of Felix and Anna (Tokarczyk) Majewski, was born on August 3, 1918, in Schenectady, New York. Before enlisting in the military, he worked for the Montgomery Ward Company and graduated from Mont Pleasant High School.
On March 12, 1942, Joseph enlisted in the United States Army. He held the rank of Private and was part of the 709th Tank Battalion. In Bretagne, France, on August 26, 1944, Joseph was killed in action. He is buried at the Brittany American Cemetery and Memorial, France.
