World War II (1939-1945)

Kenneth Lyman Collins was born in Charlton, Saratoga County, New York, on May 27, 1918. He was living with his family in Schenectady after 1935. Before entering the military, he was working for General Electric.

On May 23, 1944, Kenneth enlisted in the United States Army. He completed his basic training at Fort Dix in New Jersey. He was a sergeant serving with the 143rd Infantry Regiment, 36th Infantry Division. On March 18, 1945, Kenneth died from wounds sustained in battle in France. He is buried in the Lorraine American Cemetery and Memorial in France.
