Marcel Omer Tetrault, the son of Omer and Valida (Turgeon) Tetrault, was born on March 14, 1923, in Schenectady, New York. Marcel competed in numerous soap box derby races in Schenectady County when he was a young boy. Before enlisting, he worked for the American Locomotive Company.
Marcel enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps and held the rank of Sergeant. He was killed in an airplane crash in Alamogordo, New Mexico on February 15, 1944. He is buried in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Schenectady, New York.
