Marilyn Joan Dean, the daughter of Clarence and Charlotte Dean, was born on February 24, 1931, in Schenectady, New York. She graduated from Scotia Glenville High School and was a member of Girl Scout Troop 40.
Marilyn enlisted in the United States Navy in 1952 and held the rank of Seaman. Marilyn was sent to a navy hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania when she was attending basic training at the Bainbridge Naval Training Center in Maryland. On December 20, 1952, she passed away from Addison's disease-related complications. Marilyn is buried in Park Cemetery, Scotia, New York.
