Matthias (Mike) Kazda, the son of Anthony and Mary (Zwonaritsch) Kazda, was born on June 16, 1917, in Rotterdam, New York. He was an employee of General Electric.
In April 1942, Matthias enlisted in the United States Army. He held the rank of Private First Class and served with the 26th Infantry Regiment, 11th Infantry Division. On April 12, 1945, Matthias passed away from wounds he sustained in Germany. He is buried in Vale Cemetery, Schenectady, New York.
