Michael Thomas Esposito, the son of Fiore and Andreana (Caiazzo) Esposito, was born on February 4, 1917, in Schenectady New York. He was employed by Tom’s Barber Shop on Van Vranken Avenue and went to Nott Terrace High School.

In February 1941, Michael enlisted in the United States Army and attended Fort McClellan in Alabama for his basic training. He held the rank of Sergeant and served with the 105th Infantry Regiment, 27th Infantry Division. In March 1942, Michael was deployed to Hawaii. Michael passed away on July 3, 1944, from wounds sustained during the Battle of Saipan. He is buried in St. Anthony Cemetery, Glenville, New York.
