Nicolino Eugene D'Onofrio, the son of Antonio and Maria (Ragozzini) D'Onofrio, was born on November 17, 1921, in Schenectady, New York. He was a student at Nott Terrace High School.
Nicolino enlisted in the United States Navy and held the rank of Radioman Second Class. Nicolino was killed in an accident on April 2, 1944, while stationed in Norfolk, Virginia. He had been waiting for his orders to go overseas. He is buried in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Schenectady, New York.
