World War II (1939-1945)

Norman Laurence Spencer was born in Syracuse, New York, on June 2, 1912. He had lived in the city of Schenectady for 28 years, where he graduated from Vocational High School and worked for the Burch Plumbing Company.

On December 13, 1940, Norman enlisted in the United States Army. He was a private serving with the 503rd Quartermaster Corps. Norman was killed in battle on June 22, 1944, in France.  He is buried in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Schenectady, New York.
