Paul Girard was born in Quebec, Canada, on July 22, 1895. It is unknown why he was in Schenectady. On June 12, 1917, he enlisted in the United States Army. On May 17, 1918, Paul was deployed overseas aboard the President Grant. He was a Private in the 105th Infantry Regiment of the 27th Infantry Division. On October 19, 1918, Paul was killed in battle during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive. He is buried in the Somme American Cemetery and Memorial, France.
