Raymond Lawrance Larrabee, the son of Emerson and Mary (Eberly) Larrabee, was born on March 10, 1920, in Scotia, New York. Before entering the service, he attended Scotia Glenville High School and worked for the General Electric Company.
Raymond enlisted in the United States Army in February 1944 and was trained at Camp Croft in South Carolina. He held the rank of Private First Class and served with Company F, 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. Raymond was killed in action on December 18, 1944, in Germany. He is buried in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Schenectady, New York.
