Raymond Lord Boone, the son of Edward and Edith (Earles) Boone, was born on April 9, 1895, in Preston Hollow, New York. By 1900, he was residing in Duanesburg, New York.

On June 27, 1917, Raymond enlisted in the United States Army. He held the rank of Private First Class and served with Machine Gun Company, 105th Infantry Regiment, 27th Infantry Division. On May 17, 1918, Raymond departed for abroad aboard the USS President Grant. On October 20, 1918, he passed away from wounds sustained during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive. Raymond is buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia.
