World War I (1914-1918)

Raymond Lord Boone was born in Preston Hollow, New York, on April 9, 1895. By 1900, he was residing in the Town of Duanesburg, Schenectady County, New York.

On June 27, 1917, Raymond enlisted in the United States Army. He was a private first class serving with the Machine Gun Company, 105th Infantry Regiment, 27th Infantry Division. On May 17, 1918, Raymond was sent overseas aboard the US Army troopship USS President Grant. On October 20, 1918, he died from wounds recieved during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive. Raymond is buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia.
