Robert Charles Willman, the son of Floyd and Nita (Warner) Willman, was born on April 4, 1923 in Duanesburg, Schenectady County, New York. By 1930, he was in Niskayuna, New York, and by 1940, he was in Rotterdam, New York. Robert was a member of the 4-H Club and attended Craig School when he was younger.
On January 9, 1943, Robert enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps. He held the rank of Private and served with the 86th Bomb Squadron, 47th Bomb Group, Light. On October 7, 1944, Robert was killed in a vehicle accident in Italy. He is buried in the Florence American Cemetery and Memorial, Italy.
