Robert W. Sperbeck, the son of Howard and Mary (Archambeau) Sperbeck, was born on July 21, 1930, in Schenectady, New York. He went to Washington Irving School.
Robert enlisted in the United States Army. He held the rank of Private and served with the 32nd Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. On May 18, 1951, Robert was killed in combat close to Chunchon, South Korea. He is buried in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna, New York.
