Korean War (1950-1953)

Robert William Sperbeck was born in Schenectady, New York, on July 21, 1930. He grew up in the city of Schenectady and was a student at Washington Irving Junior High School. Before entering the military, he was a stockboy at a grocery store on Broadway in Schenectady. 

Robert enlisted in the United States Army. He was a private serving with the 32nd Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. On May 18, 1951, Robert was killed in combat close to Chunchon, South Korea. He is buried in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna, New York.
