World War II (1939-1945)

Thomas Fitzpatrick was born in Schenectady, New York, on August 5, 1907. He grew up in the city of Schenectady and worked for the American Locomotive Company. He served with the United States Navy until he was medically discharged. 

On February 17, 1943, Thomas enlisted in the United States Army Corps of Engineers. He was a private serving with the 109th Engineer Combat Battalion, 34th Infantry Division. On October 31, 1943, Thomas was killed in battle in Italy. He is buried in the Sicily Rome American Cemetery and Memorial in Italy.
