Thomas Fitzpatrick was born in Schenectady, New York, on August 5, 1907. He worked for the American Locomotive Company and was a United States Navy sailor until he was medically discharged.
On February 17, 1943, Thomas enlisted in the United States Army Corps of Engineers. He held the rank of Private and served with the 109th Engineer Combat Battalion, 34th Infantry Division. On October 31, 1943, Thomas was killed in battle in Italy. He is buried in the Sicily Rome American Cemetery and Memorial, Italy.
