World War II (1939-1945)

Victor Gagliardi was born in Hudson, New York, on October 1, 1917. By the 1920s, he was living in the city of Schenectady. He graduated from Mont Pleasant High School, and before joining the military, he was employed by the American Locomotive Company.

On March 12, 1942, Victor enlisted in the United States Army. He completed his basic training at Camp Beauregard in Louisiana. He was a technician third grade serving with Company CW, 394th Infantry Headquarters, Engineers. On January 3, 1945, Victor was sent overseas, and on August 8, 1945, he was killed in a car accident in Wurzburg, Germany. He is buried in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Guilderland, New York.
