Victor James Giannetti, the son of Frank and Maria (Mauro) Giannetti, was born on April 11, 1909, in Schenectady, New York. Before joining the army, he attended Nott Terrace High School and worked for the American Locomotive Company.
In August 1942, Victor enlisted in the United States Army. He held the rank of Private First class and served with the 376th Infantry Regiment, 94th Infantry Division. On January 26, 1945, Victor was killed in combat in Germany. He is buried in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Schenectady, New York.
