Vincent James Musco, the son of Anthony and Theresa (Lacketta) Musco, was born on April 28, 1947, in Schenectady, New York. He graduated from Linton High School in 1966 and afterwards attended Fulton Montgomery Community College. Vincent was employed by the General Electric Company.

 In November 1967, Vincent enlisted in the United States Army. He finished military police school at Fort Gordon, Georgia, after completing basic training at Fort Dix, New Jersey. Vincent held the rank of Sergeant and served with the 23rd MP Company, 11th Light Infantry Brigade, Americal Division. On August 18, 1969, Vincent's jeep struck a mine with only seven days left in Vietnam. He is buried in St. Anthony Cemetery, Glenville, New York.
