World War II (1939-1945)

William Richard Morris was born in Fort Edward, New York, on December 5, 1925. He relocated to the city of Schenectady to work for General Electric and Schuhl Fuel Oil Company. 

On December 10, 1942, William enlisted in the United States Army Corps of Engineers. He was a private serving with Company B, 209th Engineers. William was killed on June 11, 1944, during the Burma Campaign. He is buried in St. Mary's and St. Joseph's Cemetery in Fort Edward, New York.
